I've been using this for around six months now, at about three treatments a month, a little less in the beginning (so around 15 almost full body treatments, more on that later). I'm on my sixth cartridge and so far I estimate my results at: Facial hair - 90% gone Leg hair - 50% gone Underarm hair - 50% gone Bikini area - 25% gone A few times a month I pull this out and treat my body after showering and shaving, and tend to alternate between treating my hairs just after shaving and treating them the next day with slight growth. I am not sure which works better, so I alternate. The hairs that do regrow come back slowly (can go days without shaving) and finer. I had professional laser hair removal at a Med Spa for lots of $$, lots of pain, and lots of time/travel. This is sooooo much better and works better. I did not even get 50% clear with pro treatments every three weeks for a year, even though an MD with certifications was administering laser hair removal on a very expensive machine at high power with numbing cream used. It all grew back within six months after ending treatment, leaving me very frustrated and upset about the whole experience. After reading about this device on a laser hair removal forum I decided to give it a try before trying laser again. I am so glad I did. I can self adjust my treatment level, frequency, and area any time I want, for around $40 a cartridge. I tend to use a cartridge at minimum 2+ treatments. I do not fully treat my legs because that is very time consuming. But, I have found that I have bare spots where the hair doesn't grow, so I can focus my next treatment where the hairs are actually growing. That is why it is especially good to shave one day and then treat the next because I can easily see where the hair is growing. However, my doctor told me that the shorter the hair is the better the treatment results because the energy from this IPL has a shorter hair shaft to travel through. So, I would recommend alternating treatment just after shaving and treatment the day after shaving. For less than $20 per full body treatment (half of a cartridge cost), you can't go wrong IF THIS WORKS FOR YOU. I don't believe this will work for everyone, but it has been a true blessing for me. My self esteem has gone up and my body is looking really nice and nearly hair free. I have so much more confidence not having to pluck (too many) chin hairs and and being able to wear clothes that show off my fairly smooth skin. I have not yet tried treating my forearms, that will be next! I do recommend you buy this at Costco though because they have a liberal return policy, and their version includes three cartridges! My local store doesn't stock it, but I was able to join their club online and order it delivered directly to my house. I also order my cartridges there (around $40 each) when I'm on my last one. I don't expect this to be permanent. Only electrolysis is permanent.
